Indicators of Progress

Rutgers became a markedly stronger institution during President Barchi's eight years in office. Led by Dr. Barchi, the University took advantage of historic changes, including the establishment of Rutgers Biomedical and Health Sciences and Rutgers’ entrance into the Big Ten conference, to make critical advancements as a nationally regarded comprehensive public research university.
